Trump blasts Zelensky with 5-word swipe ahead of Ukraine peace talks in London

Reports suggest the latest U.S.-drafted proposal for ending the war would require Ukraine to give up occupied territory in exchange for American security guarantees a move that has already raised deep concern among European leaders and Ukraine’s government.

Donald Trump has been publicly pressuring President Volodymyr Zelensky to accept the deal, insisting that Ukraine’s negotiators “love” the draft and that Russia is supposedly “fine with it.” Yet there’s no independent evidence that Vladimir Putin is prepared to end the war or compromise on territorial control. Critics note that Trump’s framing conveniently echoes Kremlin talking points while placing the blame on Zelensky for not rushing into an agreement.

Zelensky, currently in London for high-level meetings, is briefing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German leader Friedrich Merz on the latest round of negotiations. These leaders are seeking clarity on what concessions the United States is pushing and whether the proposed deal actually provides long-term protection against future Russian aggression.

Ukrainian officials say their recent talks with Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were “constructive but not easy,” underscoring how contentious the proposed territorial terms have become. After three days of meetings in Florida, Ukraine’s chief negotiators are now racing to update Zelensky in person before Europe submits its own response.

All of this comes as Russia intensifies its attacks across Ukraine. Overnight strikes killed a 51-year-old man and wounded several children in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Days earlier, civilians were killed in separate bombardments in Sumy and Kyiv regions. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone activity forced Russia to briefly shut down airspace over Moscow, diverting several major commercial flights.

European leaders worry that any agreement that forces Ukraine to surrender land would reward Russian aggression and undermine global security. Many believe a durable peace must include strong deterrence measures not a settlement that leaves Ukraine vulnerable to another invasion.

With pressure mounting and lives still being lost daily, Zelensky faces a defining moment: whether to accept a deal shaped heavily by Washington’s political interests or continue pushing for terms that guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and safety long-term.

Why Did Donald Trump Give Melania a Cheeky Four-Word Instruction During the FIFA World Cup Draw? A Lip Reader Breaks It Down During the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw in Washington, Donald Trump once again slipped into full “showman mode.” While the Village People performed YMCA, cameras captured the former president swaying along and a lip reader claims he gave Melania a playful four-word instruction in the middle of the routine. According to expert Jeremy Freeman, Trump appeared to be enjoying the throwback performance a bit too much. He was spotted chatting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, reportedly saying he “missed” seeing the Village People perform live. Freeman adds that as Trump continued dancing, he leaned toward FIFA President Gianni Infantino and said the music “makes me happy.” Then, glancing over at Melania, he allegedly told her: “Look at it, great job.” But the moment that sparked online chatter came later, when Trump encou...

Fox News halts for breaking news in humiliating blow to Trump

A tense moment on Fox News has unexpectedly thrust Donald Trump back into the spotlight and not in a way his supporters would have hoped. Viewers watching the normally Trump-friendly network were caught off guard when Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov delivered a blunt, data-driven critique of Trump’s economic record during a live segment. Her remarks sharply contradicted the former president’s repeated claims of a booming economy and immediately set off a political firestorm. Tarlov laid out a sobering picture of the US labor market, pointing to what she described as a clear downturn since what many Americans view as a turning point in Trump’s second term. According to her analysis, job growth has slowed dramatically, with the economy adding roughly 70,000 jobs per month. She highlighted that more than 700,000 additional Americans are unemployed compared with the same period last year, while youth unemployment has climbed above 10 percent. Tarlov also noted that without hiring in...
