Melania Trump’s New Movie Trailer

A new trailer released Wednesday offers a rare, tightly controlled glimpse into Melania Trump’s return to the White House, as a feature-length documentary follows the former first lady during the final 20 days before Donald Trump’s second inauguration.

Titled MELANIA, the 104-minute film positions itself as a behind-the-scenes portrait of Melania Trump balancing family life, personal branding, and public expectations as she prepares to once again assume the role of first lady. The documentary is scheduled for a January 30 theatrical release, followed by streaming availability on Amazon Prime Video.

Speaking to Fox News, Melania Trump framed the project as unprecedented access to her private world, describing it as an “unfiltered” look at a pivotal moment in her life. In a separate appearance on Fox & Friends, she emphasized that the film focuses on her responsibilities and personal perspective rather than political messaging.

The trailer includes moments that have already sparked discussion online, including footage of Melania advising her husband ahead of a speech, encouraging him to describe his legacy as that of a “peacemaker and unifier.” The documentary also features appearances by Donald Trump and their son, Barron.

One of the most striking elements of the project is its reported $40 million acquisition by Amazon MGM Studios, making it one of the largest known licensing deals ever for a political documentary. The deal highlights a broader shift in relations between Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and the Trump administration. Amazon donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund, and Bezos has recently signaled optimism about a more favorable regulatory climate under a second Trump term.

This realignment follows years of tension, during which Donald Trump repeatedly criticized Amazon and its founder, often citing coverage by The Washington Post, which Bezos owns. Bezos’ decision not to allow the Post to endorse a presidential candidate reportedly triggered internal backlash, subscription cancellations, and high-profile staff departures.

The film is directed by Brett Ratner, whose Hollywood career stalled after multiple sexual misconduct allegations claims he has denied. His involvement has added another layer of controversy to a project already drawing intense scrutiny.

Melania Trump is credited as an executive producer and announced the launch of Muse Films in November, a new production company tied to the documentary’s release. While it remains unclear whether Muse Films handled day-to-day production, a source familiar with the project told Fox News Digital that Melania was involved in “every aspect” of the film, including post-production decisions.

Whether MELANIA ultimately reshapes public perceptions or functions primarily as a carefully curated reintroduction remains to be seen. What is clear is that the documentary arrives at a moment when politics, media power, and personal branding are more tightly intertwined than ever and Melania Trump is positioning herself squarely at that intersection.
