In recent weeks, conversation around Donald Trump’s health has intensified again, especially as more clips circulate showing moments where he appears confused, forgetful, or even unable to stay awake during official meetings. These incidents have fueled a broader debate about his mental sharpness and ability to handle the responsibilities of the presidency.
A widely shared example came after Trump gave two conflicting responses just days apart. On December 3, he told reporters he planned to release footage of a military strike in Venezuela. But when a reporter followed up on December 8, he appeared to have no recollection of making that promise. Instead of clarifying, he grew irritated, dismissed the question as “fake news,” and began attacking the reporter personally. For critics, this pattern forgetting his own words and becoming defensive when confronted with them has become increasingly common.
Commentator Harry Sisson highlighted that moment alongside another clip showing Trump appearing to doze off during a 3 p.m. roundtable about agricultural policy. According to Sisson, these mid-day lapses raise serious questions about stamina and cognitive focus, especially for someone expected to manage high-pressure national security decisions.
Trump biographer Michael Wolff has said these incidents are reportedly unsettling his own staff. In previous years, Trump’s habit was to simply leave meetings when bored. Now, Wolff claims, advisers worry about on-camera moments where he drifts off. When it happens, aides can’t intervene because cameras are rolling and Wolff says Trump often lashes out afterward, blaming those around him.
Despite the mounting video evidence, Trump has rejected all concerns. He recently boasted on social media about receiving “perfect” marks on a medical exam and said he “aced” three cognitive tests. He dismissed any reporting on his health or energy level as malicious and false.
For many observers especially Democratic commentators these repeated lapses raise real questions about leadership, stability, and readiness. Whether one supports him or not, it’s clear the conversation around his public behavior isn’t fading. If anything, each new clip adds more momentum to a debate that could shape voter confidence in a pivotal election cycle.
