CNN grinds to a halt to deliver 'crushing' Donald Trump announcement

During a live segment, CNN’s chief political data analyst Harry Enten walked viewers through fresh polling that paints a brutal picture for Trump in New York, while showing a dramatic surge in support for New York State Representative Zohran Mamdani.

New York voters are moving fast and in opposite directions

Enten began by highlighting just how rapidly Mamdani’s favorability has climbed in New York City. Back in September, Mamdani’s net favorable rating sat at +14. Today, it has skyrocketed to +38 — a stunning 24-point jump in a matter of months.

According to Enten, that level of support is almost unheard of and reflects a strong sense of optimism among city voters as Mamdani heads toward the next phase of his political future. The numbers suggest voters feel increasingly confident in the leadership direction he represents.

Republicans hoped for trouble the data says otherwise

Anchor Sara Sidner pointed out that Republicans had been banking on Mamdani becoming a liability for Democrats statewide by 2026. Enten’s response made clear that strategy isn’t working.

When the polling expands from New York City to the entire state, Mamdani still comes out ahead, holding a +15 net favorable rating statewide — one of the strongest showings recorded for a New York politician at this stage.

Trump, by contrast, is deeply underwater.

Trump’s New York problem keeps getting worse

Enten revealed that Donald Trump’s statewide net favorability in New York has plunged to –30. That puts him roughly 45 points behind Mamdani, a gap so large that Enten emphasized it couldn’t be ignored.

The takeaway was unmistakable: while Mamdani’s popularity is rising across New York, Trump’s standing continues to deteriorate — especially in a state that already rejected him decisively in past elections.

Sidner reacted with surprise at how stark the comparison was, joking that she was already anticipating Trump’s response on social media.

Social media reacts quickly

The segment immediately sparked reactions online. Viewers pointed out how striking the contrast was between Mamdani’s momentum and Trump’s declining support, with many noting that the numbers signal serious trouble for Trump heading into future election cycles.

Others speculated that the polling results would almost certainly provoke an angry response from Trump, who has long bristled at unfavorable data especially when it comes from New York, his former home state.

The latest CNN polling analysis sends a clear message: New York voters are moving forward, not backward. Zohran Mamdani’s rising favorability reflects growing enthusiasm among Democrats and independents alike, while Donald Trump’s numbers suggest deep resistance that shows no signs of easing.

As 2026 approaches, these trends may become impossible for Republicans to dismiss — and impossible for Trump to spin.

A Lip Reader Breaks It Down During the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw in Washington, Donald Trump once again slipped into full “showman mode.” While the Village People performed YMCA, cameras captured the former president swaying along and a lip reader claims he gave Melania a playful four-word instruction in the middle of the routine. According to expert Jeremy Freeman, Trump appeared to be enjoying the throwback performance a bit too much. He was spotted chatting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, reportedly saying he “missed” seeing the Village People perform live. Freeman adds that as Trump continued dancing, he leaned toward FIFA President Gianni Infantino and said the music “makes me happy.” Then, glancing over at Melania, he allegedly told her: “Look at it, great job.” But the moment that sparked online chatter came later, when Trump encou...

Fox News halts for breaking news in humiliating blow to Trump

A tense moment on Fox News has unexpectedly thrust Donald Trump back into the spotlight and not in a way his supporters would have hoped. Viewers watching the normally Trump-friendly network were caught off guard when Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov delivered a blunt, data-driven critique of Trump’s economic record during a live segment. Her remarks sharply contradicted the former president’s repeated claims of a booming economy and immediately set off a political firestorm. Tarlov laid out a sobering picture of the US labor market, pointing to what she described as a clear downturn since what many Americans view as a turning point in Trump’s second term. According to her analysis, job growth has slowed dramatically, with the economy adding roughly 70,000 jobs per month. She highlighted that more than 700,000 additional Americans are unemployed compared with the same period last year, while youth unemployment has climbed above 10 percent. Tarlov also noted that without hiring in...
