Concerns about Donald Trump’s health flared up again after a recent video showed him moving unsteadily while walking through the White House Presidential Walk of Fame with his grandson, Theodore Kushner. The clip, which has already drawn more than a million views on X, sparked fresh debate about the 79-year-old president’s physical stability and neurological fitness.
In the video, Trump points at the portraits along the corridor while his grandson follows behind. What caught many viewers’ attention, however, was the way Trump appeared to drag his leg and lean into each step. Several commentators noted that his gait looked noticeably uneven. Technology analyst Adam Cochran remarked that the movement resembled patterns sometimes seen in individuals with neurological conditions or those recovering from strokes though he wasn’t making a clinical diagnosis, just commenting on what he observed.
Social media reactions came quickly. Critics described his steps as “unsteady,” with some users suggesting he appeared “not well.” Others coined new nicknames mocking his unusual gait. While these online reactions aren’t medical assessments, they do highlight growing public curiosity about Trump’s physical condition.
Psychologist Dr. John Gartner, a longtime critic of Trump’s fitness for office, argued in a radio interview that Trump’s walking pattern shows signs sometimes associated with Frontotemporal dementia. He pointed out what he described as a “leg swing,” where Trump seems to move his right leg in a semicircle as though compensating for stiffness or weakness. Gartner stressed that this type of gait can appear in certain neurological disorders, though such claims remain opinions rather than official medical conclusions.
Trump, for his part, has repeatedly denied any health problems. He recently claimed that an MRI scan produced “some of the best reports” for someone his age and highlighted his performance on the MoCA cognitive screening test, describing it incorrectly as an “IQ test.” The White House physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, has also stated that Trump’s annual physical results were “exceptional,” even asserting that Trump’s “cardiac age” is significantly younger than his actual age.
As the 2025 political climate intensifies, Trump’s health continues to draw scrutiny not only because he is the oldest president in U.S. history, but also because questions about physical and cognitive stamina play a major role in public confidence. For many observers, the viral video has simply added more fuel to a conversation that shows no signs of slowing down.
